The nursery has recently had a very succesful OFSTED. The report for this can be found on the OFSTED site. This has been achieved by the dedicated work and committment of all members of the Nursery team. As a new nursery it has helped us to identify our strengths and those areas needing even greater development.
Within a caring Christian ethos, our aim is:
- To enhance the development and education of children under statutory school age in a parent-involving, community-based group;
- To provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment;
- To work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.
We offer your child:
- A specially tailored curriculum leading to approved learning outcomes;
- Individual care and attention made possible by a high ratio of adults to children;
- Fun and friendship with children and other adults;
- The support of a personal key worker
- We also offer the opportunity for you and your family to be directly involved in the activities of the group and in your own child's progress.
Curriculum
The Day Nursery offers a wide and varied curriculum which incorporates the six early learning goals:
- Personal, social and emotional development
- Mathematics
- Language and literacy
- Knowledge and understanding of the world
- Physical development
- Creative development
Staffing
A high ratio of qualified staff is employed in the Day Nursery.
Nursery Education Grant
All children qualify for the Nursery Education grant from the first term after their 3rd birthday. The local authority set the number of weeks in each term and the amount of funding per session. The Nursery completes most of the paperwork for you. We will give you the relevant form to fill in and we do all the rest!
Methods of payment - We accept a wide range of childcare vouchers which include, Accor, Allsave, Busy Bee, Care 4 and Sodexho. We are also happy to set up an account with any other voucher company you wish to use.
